Alvin D. Hersh, admitted to bar, 1957, New Jersey and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey; 1962, U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court. Education: Rutgers University (B.A., 1954), Rutgers University School of Law (J.D. 1956). Member: Morris County, New Jersey (Elder Law Section) and American Bar Associations; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Mr. Hersh, a former member of the Firm, now serves as Of Counsel to the Firm in the areas of litigation, elder law, wills, and trusts and estates. Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney (ret.), he is a former Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. He also served as Judge of the Municipal Court of Mine Hill, New Jersey from 1986-1991.

Mr. Hersh previously attended Officer Candidate School at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut and served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve, retiring as a Captain. He also participated and was active in many community organizations, and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Morris unit of the American Red Cross, The ARC of Essex County (President, 1980-1982) and The Military Officers Association of America (Vice President, 1996-1998).
